http://www.stopandshop.com/ - выбор больше чем в шопрайте, есть аптечные отделы. Карточка тоже оформляется оч быстро на месте и даёт ощутимую экономию. Встречается в New Jersey.

http://store.publix.com - обычный супермаркет типа шопрайта. Встречается в южных штатах – Tennesse, Alabama, Georgia, South carolina, Florida.

I’ve tried Ethereal a couple years ago. This tool allowed me to find an interesting bug in IBM MQ 7.0.0.01 (not sure about the version). The problem was that queue had no default code-page set, while earlier versions used to have it defined to 829 or something. I spent two days debugging the app, on our system everything worked fine, but customers mainframe fad no default code-page either. So I took Ethereal and found difference in the messages header of MQ 6 and 7.

Today I stuck in debugging again. Since last time I was using Ethereal it was renamed to Wireshark. And again it allowed me to find the bug, mine this time.

So, I’d recommend this app as a powerful but easy to use network protocol analyser.

Usually you don’t have any problems to wait until GWT compiler finish compilation of 5-6 permutations. But today it takes up to 6 minutes for my project.

There are couple of lines which reduced compilation time, to 50% of usual time.

Put in your modulename.GWT.xml folowing:

<set-property name=”user.agent” value=”ie8″/>

and optionally

<extend-property name=”locale” values=”en_US”/>

First one will force the compiler to produce only one permutation, for IE8 only (note that your web app will not work in other browsers). The second will add one more permutation for chosen locale. Do not set it if you are ok to use the default locale only.

The other useful optimizations are related to production builds. These are compiler options:

-XdisableClassMetadata and -XdisableCastChecking

Their names are self-explanatory.

Let’s get started.

For today I’ve upload my training project – cityid-ua. It does simple thing – shows ukrainian cities by region with their phone codes and in perspective ZIP codes. I know, this is not kind of good ideas to describe project with russian text. But I spent much time to get it working and there are not so many tutorials on chosen technologies. Epecially I wanted to follow the best practices introduced by Ray Ryan in his presentation in 2009.  So I decided to share my experience.

Libraries and technologies were used:

• gwt-presenter
• gwt-dispatch
• google-guice
• GIN
• gwt-log
• log4j
